Kobe Steel turns to profit in June quarter

Japanese steel producer Kobe Steel turned to profit in the June quarter, with rising steel sales driving an increase in revenue in the period. Kobe Steel reported an operating profit of JPY 24.8 billion ($226.31 million) during the quarter through June, compared with an operating loss of JPY 19.8 billion in the same quarter last year, Kallanish notes.
