Kobe Steel orders plate rolling mill from Primetals
Japanese steelmaker Kobe Steel has ordered a steel plate finishing rolling mill from Primetals Technologies for its Kakogawa Works.
Commissioning is scheduled for late 2023 or early 2024, Kallanish notes.
Primetals will supply the steel plate finishing rolling mill with improved rigidity, ancillary equipment, as well as on-site supervision for erection and commissioning. The plate will have a thickness of 4.5-360mm and width of 1,000-4,500mm.
