Kobe Steel forecasts further revenue increase in FY22
After posting increases in both sales and income in the fiscal year ended on 31 March 2022 (FY21), Japan’s Kobe Steel is expecting to achieve higher net sales in FY22, but net income is forecast to remain stable, Kallanish notes.
In FY21, Kobe Steel produced 6.59 million tonnes of crude steel, up 13.43% year-on-year. Sales of steel products meanwhile hiked 11.42% to 5.27mt, at an average realised price of JPY 105,600/tonne ($814/t), a surge of 28.31%.
