KNSS to start autosheet output in September

Indonesia’s Krakatau Nippon Steel Sumikin (KNSS) plans to begin operation of its autosheet plant in September, according to the industry ministry. The 480,000 tonne/year line will initially use almost entirely Japanese steel but could eventually use up to 200,000 t/y of Krakatau Steel’s cold rolled coil, Kallanish notes.
