KIOCL exports surge despite reduced output, deliveries
Indian state-run iron ore pellet producer KIOCL’s pellet production fell 8% on-year to 2.03 million tonnes in the fiscal year ended 31 March 2022 (FY22). Sales plummeted 10% to 2.07mt, against 2.31mt in FY21, Kallanish notes.
The company’s exports, however, surged 10% on-year to 2.03mt, against 1.84mt a year earlier. Domestic sales plunged dramatically, by 91% to only 0.04mt in FY22.
