Khorasan Steel exports record billet tonnage
Khorasan Steel sold 133,000 tonnes of billet in the eight months through 21 November, while exports of the semi-finished product hit a monthly record of 34,553t in the final month of the period.
Iran’s fourth-largest steelmaker commissioned earlier this year a 700,000 tonnes/year electric arc furnace-based billet plant, doubling overall capacity of the semi to 1.4 million t/y (see Kallanish 4 May).
