Key countries/regions consume more scrap in 2018: BIR
Consumption of ferrous scrap in seven key countries and regions rose by 10.1% year-on-year to 469 million tonnes in 2018, Kallanish notes. The scrap supported crude steel production of around 1.469 billion tonnes which represents data for 81% of global steelmaking.
