Kazakhstan extends scrap export ban
Kazakhstan has extended its ban on ferrous scrap exports for a further six months from 6 May, says the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
The ministry order explains that the ban will apply to exports of scrap and waste by all modes of transport. The purpose of the measure is to support steelmakers in Kazakhstan with sufficient raw material supply.
