Karnataka government withdraws NMDC minng lease approval
Iron ore miner NMDC has informed the stock exchange that the government of the Indian state of Karnataka has withdrawn its approval to extend the company’s mining lease at Donimalai.
The withdrawal of the lease was communicated to the miner by the state government in a letter dated 17 August NMDC says. The mining lease period had been extended by Karnataka in November 2018, the miner adds. The state now wants to auction the mining block.
