Kametstal resumes production after blackout
Metinvest’s Kametstal steelworks has resumed operations at its oxygen converter after a forced shutdown because of power supply restrictions caused by heavy Russian shelling of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Kallanish notes.
During the period of forced downtime, the company restarted continuous casting machines, repaired crane equipment, and audited mechanical, electrical and power equipment of both BOFs.
