JSW eyes $1.3 billion green steelmaking investment
India’s JSW Steel aims to invest INR 10,000 crores ($1.33 billion) to reduce carbon emissions by increasing natural gas usage for steelmaking. The steel company is in talks with GAIL India for the supply of natural gas, Kallanish notes.
The company will also invest into using solar power for energy and use more scrap for reducing fuel dependency.
