Jindal Shadeed begins pellet plant construction
Oman-based Jindal Shadeed Iron & Steel (JSIS) has broken ground on the construction of its captive iron ore pelletising plant in Sohar, Kallanish notes.
The 6 million tonnes/year capacity unit is scheduled for commissioning in early 2024. Operated by Shadeed affiliate Vulcan Pelletizing, it will supply pellet feedstock to Shadeed’s 1.8m t/y direct reduced iron plant.
