Fire damages sinter plant at China's Jianlong Xinbaotai
Jianlong Group’s 3 million tonnes/year Tangshan Xinbaotai Iron & Steel subsidiary reported a major fire at a sintering plant around noon on 21 August. So far no assessment of damage and or influence on production has been announced by the company.
Videos claiming to show the incident indicate that the whole sinter plant was covered by black smoke and the conveyor belt appears to have been heavily damaged. Analysts say lost profit from lower output…
