Jianlong Xigang commissions ladle furnace
Xilin Iron & Steel (Xigang), a Jianlong Group subsidiary, has commissioned a 90-tonne ladle furnace following an upgrade. The purpose of the work is to improve steel quality, Kallanish notes.
The 90-t ladle furnace is located between two 120-t converters. It is able to refine 1.1 million tonnes/year of steel ranging across carbon steels, low-alloy steels, bridge structure steels and spring steels.
