Jianlong's Agang upgrades blast furnace
Jianlong Group subsidiary Acheng iron & Steel (Agang) successfully completed the refurbishment of its 1,260-cubic-metre blast furnace on 29 October. It has already started to produce iron, Kallanish notes.
During the production halt, the steelmaker upgraded the furnace cooling walls, slag sluiceway and dust removal systems. The BF was commissioned in 2013 with an iron capacity of 1.2 million tonnes/year.
