Jianglong aims for major mid-term steel capacity expansion
The chairman of China’s Jianlong Group’s, Zhang Zhixiang, has recently revealed his company’s mid-term development plans, Kallanish notes.
The Jianlong Group aims to control 50 million tonnes/year of steelmaking capacity by the end of 2022, including both fully-owned capacity and that in which it holds an interest. Around 10m t/y of this should be high end steel capacity such as alloy, tool and high-carbon steels.
