Japan's Kanto export tender sees price lift
Japanese scrap export prices have rebounded in the latest Kanto Tetsugen monthly export tender, Kallanish notes.
In the latest tender, which opened on 9 June, Toyota Tsusho Material was awarded 15,000 tonnes of Japanese H2 grade scrap at JPY 48,167/tonne ($345/t) fas. This is JPY 1,994/t higher than the Association’s last tender on 10 May. The tendered cargo is believed to be destined for Bangladesh.
