Japanese scrap prices dip further
Japanese scrap prices have fallen further in South Korea, Kallanish notes.
Dongkuk Steel purchased on 16 March around 22,500 tonnes of Japanese scrap at JPY 41,000/tonne ($375/t) fob Japan for H2 grade, Korean trading sources say. The freight rate from Tokyo bay is JPY 3,500/t, Kallanish is told.
