Japanese scrap export prices surge in Kanto tender

Kanto Tetsugen's latest monthly export auction for Japanese H2 grade scrap from Tokyo Bay reflects a strong rebound in the market, Kallanish notes. The Kanto Tetsugen Cooperative Association auction on 12 October awarded a total of 11,000 tonnes at an average JPY 53,213/tonne ($469/t) fas for H2 grade scrap.
