Japanese scrap dives further

Japanese scrap prices have continued to descend, Kallanish notes. Japan’s leading EAF operator, Tokyo Steel, announced a cut in its domestic scrap purchase prices by JPY 500/tonne ($4.6/t), effective 15 June, at its four steelworks and Takamatsu steel centre.
