Japanese mills escape earthquake impact

Japanese steelmakers have said there is no impact to production from a powerful earthquake off Japan’s northwest coast on Tuesday. The Japan Iron and Steel Federation (Jisf) did warn on Tuesday however that domestic steel demand is being affected by the China-US trade war, Kallanish notes.
