Italian stainless scrap prices increase
Italian stainless steel scrap prices are increasing by approximately €50/tonne ($54) this month, sources tell Kallanish.
Demand is at average levels for 304 but 316 grade is less popular. Material remains in relatively short supply and expensive to purchase for merchants. Low consumption by long product mills continues, with mills buying only small tonnages of pure 304 grade.
