Italian scrap increases, mills’ order books unchanged: Assofermet
Italian mills’ order books and production plans remain unchanged, with no improvement seen in the market. Italian steel trade association Assofermet notes an increase of €10-20/tonne ($10.7-21.5) in scrap prices in early May owing to improved demand from steelmakers but also short availability, it says in its market note sent to Kallanish.
