Italian scrap consumption to fall on Arvedi stoppage
Italian scrap prices are forecast to remain at current levels in July or increase by €5/tonne ($5.6/t) on the current short supply for some grades, market participants tell Kallanish.
Scrap contract prices in June have reduced compared to May for some grades by €10-20/t on-month due to low demand. The downturn in finished long and flat products markets is persisting in Italy, with sales volumes remaining weak throughout the month.
