Italian rebar makers push up prices
Italian rebar makers are again seeking price increases with the intention to recover some margins and stop transaction values from declining. Contracts have ticked up by €10/tonne ($10.7) over recent days, market sources tell Kallanish.
Last week and this have been quiet due to the 25 April and 1 May bank holidays in Italy. Mills have taken advantage of the break to implement stoppages and balance supply with demand.
