Italian plate prices decline on low consumption
Low consumption is now strongly impacting Italian plate prices, which are declining following stagnating activity in March, sources tell Kallanish.
Large buyers are absent and mid-size and small buyers are adopting a wait-and-see attitude and have preferred to buy cheaper imported material from ports. March sales have been low but mills coming off two months of strong sales.
