Italian plate mills seek increases
Italian plate prices are mostly stable compared to last week. Mills are pushing up their values this month, as expected, in line with increasing slab values, sources tell Kallanish.
Demand is slow in Italy, with limited volumes and no restocking from the large buyers. This however is compensated by livelier demand from other countries such as France and Germany. Mills are quoting lead times in the second half of March and are pushing S275 grade to €800/tonne …
