Italian coil prices decline further
Coil prices are declining further in Italy this week as downstream consumption continues to drag, with buyers sitting on the fence, sources tell Kallanish.
Both re-rollers and service centres, dealing with low prices downstream, are destocking or buying small tonnages to cover gaps in their stocks. The appetite for imported material is also low. Asian-origin hot rolled coil values are also falling and hovering at €600-610/tonne ($654-665) cfr Italy.
