Iron ore settles as official forecasts fall
Seaborne iron ore prices dipped slightly on Tuesday but continued to settle in their new range of $37-38.5/tonne. Price forecasts have continued to tumble however and there is little sign of a recovery.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines came in just $0.11 down at $37.74/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. There were no deals concluded on globalORE but futures prices in Singapore softened slightly.
