Iron ore gains as Hancock enters Atlas fray

Seaborne iron ore prices gained slightly on Tuesday as trading activity recovered. The market was distracted by the fate of Atlas Iron however, with Gina Rinehart apparently throwing her hat into the ring. The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines gained $0.34/tonne on Tuesday to $65.53/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. Three cargos of PB fines traded on Tuesday.
