Iron ore dips slightly in quiet trading
Seaborne iron ore prices remained becalmed on Tuesday following the New Year dip seen on Monday.
The Kallanish index for 62% Fe Australian fines lowered slightly by $0.19 to $40.78/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. There were no fixed price trades on the globalORE trading platform but 170,000 tonnes of PB fines sold at a $1.85/t premium to the Platts 62% Iodex for February delivery.
