Iran's exports recover further, gas shortages hit DRI
Iranian steel exports fell 14.7% on-year in the ten months through 19 January to 7.51 million tonnes, the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) says on its online Chilan portal. This indicates exports rebounded further in January after they had dropped 17% after nine months.
Semi-finished steel exports dropped 12% in the ten months to 5.14mt. Billet exports fell 4% to 3.93mt and slab shipments plunged 30% to 1.21mt.
