Iranian six-month exports rise, rebar consumption falls

Iranian exports of semi-finished products rose 43% on-year in the six months through 22 September to 4.02 million tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association data monitored by Kallanish. This was driven by an 88% surge in billet shipments to 2.97mt, while slab exports declined -15% to 1.05mt. Six-month finished product exports, meanwhile, rose 37% to 1.88mt.
