Iranian semis slide amid war in Middle East
Iranian electric arc furnace steelmaker Khorasan Steel has closed its 30,000-tonne parcel billet tender at $470/tonne fob for end-December loading, Kallanish learns from market sources.
Compared to the previous tender from another Iranian mill, which closed last week at $473/t fob, Iranian semis prices are trending lower amid weak fundamentals in the Far East, Gulf Cooperation Council and Western Hemisphere.
