Iranian semis exports surge, Thailand main destination
Iranian semi-finished product exports surged 84% on-year in the Iranian year through 20 March 2018 to 6.87 million tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) data published on ISPA’s online Chilan portal. Just over 4mt of this was billet, up 86%, while the remainder comprised slab whose shipments grew 80%.
