Iranian semis exports accelerate in December
Iranian semi-finished product exports accelerated on-year in the month through 21 December 2019, while apparent finished steel consumption growth remained flat.
In the nine months through 21 December semis shipments abroad surged 38% on-year to 5.07 million tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association data monitored by Kallanish. This compared to 31% growth after eight months. Billet and slab exports rose 54% and 12% respectively to 3.53mt and 1.54mt. …
