Iranian pellet producers report three-month output surge
Major Iranian iron ore pellet producers grew output 68% on-year in the three months through 21 June to 7.09 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
Gol Gohar was the largest producer with 3.22mt, followed by Middle East Mines and Mineral Industry Development (Midhco) with 1.27mt, and Chadormalu with 1.05mt. Sangan Opal Parsian came next with 1.01mt, followed by Sangan Steel Mining Industries with 538,597t.
These companies decreased three-month domestic sales, however, by -12% to 3.28mt.
