Iranian one-month semis exports plummet, finished steel grows
Iran experienced a significant on-year decline in semis exports, while finished steel shipments grew in the first month of the Iranian calendar year, which ran from 20 March to 19 April 2024, Kallanish notes.
Billet and bloom exports declined by 25.6% on-year to 332,800 tonnes from 447,300t posted in the previous year, with slab shipments plummeting by 94.3% to 10,300t, from 179,500t in the same period last year.
