Iranian nine-month steel output soars
Iranian production of finished and semi-finished steel rose in the first nine months of the Iranian year, or 21 March-21 December 2022. Semis production increased by 12.8% on-year to 23.78 million tonnes, from 21.09mt in the same period a year earlier, according to an Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) note on its online Chilan portal.
