Iranian iron ore output rises in February
Iran’s main producers saw merchant run-of-mine iron ore production rise 46% on-year in the month through 19 February to 684,706 tonnes, while iron ore concentrate output grew 1% to 2.72 million tonnes. This is according to an Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro) note monitored by Kallanish.
Iron ore pellet and direct reduced iron production increased 12% and 24% respectively to 2.72mt and 1.57mt.
