Iranian five-month steel output declines amid power outages
Iranian semi-finished and finished steel output inched down in August by 6.7% on-month to 2.63 million tonnes. Output in the first five months of the Iranian year – 21 March-22 August – turned negative on-year. Power outages from the first week of July have hampered production severely, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data.
