Iranian exports recover further, gas shortage hits DRI
Iranian steel exports recovered further in the month through 18 February, amid continued growth in steel production.
Overall steel exports still fell 14.4% on-year in the 11 months through 18 February to 8.24 million tonnes, with long products shipments registering a bigger decline than semi-finished steel, says the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA).
Semis exports dropped 12% to 5.6mt, with slab down 28% to 1.37mt but billet down only 5% to 4.23mt…
