Iranian billet exports accelerate, flats use, imports grow
Iranian exports of billet accelerated and slab export growth slowed further in the month through 19 February, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data monitored by Kallanish.
In the 11 months through 19 February billet exports grew 77% on-year to 3.35 million tonnes, while slab shipments abroad, although slowing, still surged 102% to 2.69mt.
Direct reduced iron exports, meanwhile, surged 272% to 639,000t. DRI production rose 24% to 20.48mt…
