Iranian apparent steel consumption surges
Iranian apparent finished steel consumption increased 9.8% on-year in the first month of the Iranian year, or 21 March-20 April, Kallanish observes. Following Iran’s export duty implementation that month, domestic steel prices slumped, which spurred a consumption increase.
