Iranian six-month apparent steel consumption slumps
Iranian apparent steel consumption decreased 16% on-year in the six months through 22 September, or first half of the Iranian calendar year, notes Kallanish.
Six-month semi-finished steel apparent consumption decreased 24% to 9.5 million tonnes, with slab declining 21% to 4.09mt, while billet and bloom dropped 26% to 5.41mt, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data.
