Iranian apparent demand slows, remains well up on-year

Iranian apparent steel consumption slowed slightly in the month through 21 October but seven-month-through-21-October use remained well up on-year, the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) says. Seven-month apparent finished product consumption rose 20% to 11.93mt, slowing from 22% growth after six months. Long steel use surged by 34%, driven by 39% rebar consumption growth to 4.46mt, while sections use rose 25% to 660,000t. Flat steel use…
