Iranian annual exports slip despite weak construction demand
Iranian steel exports reached an impressive 9 million tonnes in the Iranian year through 20 March 2021, but this was down 13% on-year, according to Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) data monitored by Kallanish.
Semi-finished steel exports fell 11% last year to 6.16mt, with billet shipments down 6% to 4.56mt and slab exports down 32% to 1.6mt.
