Iran semis exports slump, but steel consumption improves
Iranian semi-finished product exports declined -23% on-year in the three months through 21 June, or first quarter of the Iranian year, to 1.43 million tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association data. However, finished product exports increased, as did overall apparent steel consumption.
Three-month billet and slab exports fell -14% and -35% on-year respectively to 904,000t and 521,000t.
