Iran records three-month steel exports surge
Iran's semi-finished and finished steel combined exports in the first quarter of the Iranian calendar year – 21 March to 21 June – grew 17.4% on-year to 2.93 million tonnes from 2.49mt a year earlier, notes Kallanish.
Finished steel shipments soared 39.4% to 828,000 tonnes, while semi-finished steel exports grew 10.6% to 2.1mt, according to data posted on the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA)'s online Chilan portal.
