Iran steel production growth continues
Iranian crude steel output rose 20% on-year in the five months through 22 August to 10.34 million tonnes, according to Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) data published on ISPA’s online Chilan portal. Billet and bloom output rose 24% to 5.64mt and slab output was up 17% to 4.71mt.
